Ganderbal:
The 24 Rashtriya Rifles Army unit Dagarpora in central Kashmir’s Ganderbal district on thursday organised a sports activities event at iqbal memorial Public Dagarpora to boost the morale of students.
Reports reaching that atleast 30 children from Dagarpora and nearby villages were present for the event and took part in fun exercise games like tug of war, jalebi race, glass pyramid and baloon scramble and the army provide counseling to the children for their betterment of future.
The aim was to give an insight into the Army way of life to the children of the area and motivate them and to further instil a sense of pride in their armed forces.
During the program ” A day With Company Commander” Special attraction of the event was a ride in the Cassper vehicle followed by a visit to the living area of troops, equipment display and display of a trooper with full operational gear . The event witnessed a healthy interaction with the children and they were all very happy and excited to spend some quality time with the Army.
This was followed by a happy meal at the jawans mess. It was after a long time that the children got to know The Army life in such an eventful way and they all thanked the Army for a lovely afternoon.
“We enjoyed it a lot. The Army did wonderful arrangements for us and we played a lot of games,we even won prizes,we hope that they’ll organise more such programmes for us,” said group of children’s .
